The 2009 Baker Tilly International EMEA Conference was held in Geneva, Switzerland from 6-9 June.

The Annual Conference is initiative of the Baker Tilly International Head Office in London. The aim of the Conference was to discuss future development perspectives and to sum up year’s results. Due to possibility of personal contact participants had an opportunity of interaction and got the answers upon the problematic questions.

For Baker Tilly Ukraine this event was even more significant, since its managing partner Alexander Pochkun was officially represented as new Board Member of Baker Tilly International.

Alexander thanked other Board Members for their trust and expressed his hope for further network’s growth and development involving to cooperation other firms across the globe.

Traditional procedure of EMEA Regional Chairman Ted Verkade’s presentation of new member firms (among which: Macedonia, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Estonia, Nepal, Israel, Austria, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rika and Salvador) showed that Baker Tilly International keeps on expanding despite the difficulties in world economy.

Also, committee meetings occurred during the Conference, where particular professional problems were discussed. The head of M&A and Due Diligence department with Baker Tilly Ukraine Irina Chernova became a member of international EMEA Corporate Finance Committee.
